GLI-33 - Gaming Laboratories International Event Wagering Systems B.2.8: B.2.8 Asset Management

Every asset that holds, handles or transmits sensitive information, including the system's operating environment, is accounted for with a nominated owner: an inventory of assets holding controlled items is maintained; a procedure adds and retires assets; an acceptable use policy exists; each owner ensures classification by criticality, sensitivity and value and periodically reviews access restrictions and classifications; recorded and actual assets are reconciled at regulator-set intervals with action on discrepancies; and any copy protection is either fully documented for the laboratory to verify or individually verifiable by an approved method.
