Ghana Cybersecurity Act 57: Section 57 and the CSA Guidelines: accreditation of cybersecurity professionals and establishments

The Authority has established the accreditation mechanism section 57 requires: since 1 January 2024 cybersecurity professionals and cybersecurity establishments (digital forensics facilities and managed security service facilities) must hold the Authority's accreditation to operate, and institutions are told to engage only accredited professionals and establishments. By December 2024 the Authority had registered 276 service providers, 73 establishments and 1,563 professionals. The Act itself only mandates the mechanism; the obligation rests on the Authority's Guidelines and directives.
