Germany Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) s85: s 85 Outside EU law, transfer for defence and crisis tasks only with purpose instructions, and apply the information exemptions narrowly

Outside the scope of the GDPR and the Directive, transfers to third countries, supranational or intergovernmental bodies or international organisations are allowed, beyond the GDPR cases, where necessary for urgent defence reasons or a federal public body's supranational or intergovernmental obligations in crisis management, conflict prevention or humanitarian measures; the recipient is instructed to use the data only for the transfer purpose. Federal public bodies need not give GDPR Art. 13(1) and (2) information in the first three cases of s 32(1) or where it would reveal information secret by law or nature; then no right of access applies.
