Germany Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)
Sections 1 to 5: Purpose, scope, definitions, accessibility requirements and presumption of conformity – Germany Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)

Germany Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) S3-1: Products made available and services offered must be accessible under the federal accessibility ordinance

What does S3-1 require?

Every product an economic operator makes available and every service it offers or provides must be accessible, meaning persons with disabilities can find, access and use it in the usual way, without particular difficulty and in principle without outside help. The concrete requirements are those of the ordinance issued under section 3(2) (the BFSGV), which mirrors Annex I of the Directive. Microenterprises that offer or provide services are exempt from this requirement; the federal labour ministry issues guidance for them.
