EU Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 (Radio Equipment Cybersecurity)
Article 3 and later acts: entry into force, application from 1 August 2025, repeal from 11 December 2027 – EU Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 (Radio Equipment Cybersecurity)

EU Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 (Radio Equipment Cybersecurity) 3.1: Application from 1 August 2025 to equipment placed on the market from that date

The Regulation took effect on 1 February 2022, twenty days after publication in the Official Journal, and originally applied from 1 August 2024, thirty months later. Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2444, adopted on 20 July 2023 after industry and Member States warned that the harmonised standards would not be ready, replaced the application date with 1 August 2025 and corrected the Article 1(2) wording to traffic data or location data. The requirements attach to each unit placed on the market, meaning first made available in the Union, on or after 1 August 2025; stock already made available before that date is not caught, but new units of an existing model are. Manufacturers must be able to show, from their shipping and distribution records, which units fall on each side of the date, and must have a compliant technical file and declaration of conformity for everything placed on the market from the application date.
