Part Four: Large exposures – EU Capital Requirements Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 575/2013)

EU Capital Requirements Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 575/2013) 394: Report every large exposure, the 20 largest and exposures of EUR 300 million or more, and the 10 largest to institutions and shadow banks

What does 394 require?

Institutions must report to the competent authority, for each large exposure including exempted ones, the client or group identity and exposure values before and after credit risk mitigation with the type of protection. IRB institutions also report their 20 largest exposures on a consolidated basis, and all institutions report consolidated exposures of EUR 300 million or more but below 10 % of Tier 1; the 10 largest exposures to institutions and to shadow banking entities are reported with the same details.
