The Commission encourages and facilitates a comprehensive EU code of conduct on age-appropriate design, co-regulatory in nature, built on the DSA framework and in line with the AVMSD and GDPR, involving industry, policymakers, civil society and children, to ensure the privacy, safety and security of children using digital products and services, with commitments by very large online platforms subject to independent audit under the DSA.
