The target of evaluation, two prepare-and-measure QKD modules (a transmitter and a receiver), is evaluated under Common Criteria CC:2022 to EAL4, augmented by AVA_VAN.5 (advanced methodical vulnerability analysis against attackers of high attack potential, chosen because QKD claims security against quantum computers and institutional attackers) and by ALC_DVS.2 (sufficiency of security controls in the development environment); EAL4 is the smallest package that satisfies AVA_VAN.5's dependencies. The Protection Profile V2.1.1 is certified by BSI as PP 0120.
