A topic is material from the financial perspective when its risks or opportunities produce, or can reasonably be expected to produce, material effects on how the undertaking develops, its balance sheet, results, cash, access to funding or cost of capital over any of the three horizons, a wider lens than financial statement recognition and one that includes risks and opportunities arising from value chain business relationships. Material risks and opportunities arise from the undertaking's material impacts, from its dependencies on natural, human and social resources, and from other factors such as climate hazards or systemic regulatory change; dependencies are treated as sources of financial effects whether or not they involve impacts. Materiality is assessed on likelihood combined with the potential magnitude of financial effects, using likely scenarios and forecasts and anticipated effects not yet reflected in the financial statements, with the internal risk management framework (and prudential frameworks for financial institutions) as an input.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
