The development of application data or algorithms follows its own lifecycle (the data preparation lifecycle: application requirements specification, application preparation plan, architecture and design, production, integration and testing, validation and assessment) managed by an application preparation plan that defines the data preparation strategy, activities, documentation, tools and resources, the roles (with the independence of 5.1), the SIL objectives, the form of expression chosen for the data (tabular specification or an application specific language, Table A.11) and the safety analysis of the data preparation process; the plan is verified and the result recorded in the application data verification report (8.4.1.2-13).
