6.1 Access control mechanism (ACM) – EN 18031-2:2024

EN 18031-2:2024 ACM-4: Toys and childcare equipment: third-party access to children's privacy assets restricted by default

What does ACM-4 require?

For a toy or childcare equipment, every ACM-1 mechanism governing a child's privacy function or the personal information processed about a child is set out of the box to keep third parties out, leaving access only to the child and their parents or guardians, apart from authorised accesses the equipment needs to perform its intended function.
