DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) SRG-3: SRG-3 SRG naming standard: core SRG, technology SRG and a five- or six-digit sequence

Technology SRG group titles and STIG IDs follow the standard {core SRG value}-{technology SRG}-{five- or six-digit sequence number}, as in SRG-NET-000001-RTR-000001, SRG-APP-000001-COL-000001, SRG-NET-000001-VVSM-00001 and SRG-OS-000001-UNIX-000001; checks and fixes at this level are written in general form and apply to any STIG created for a product without product-specific check and fix guidance. Vendor-developed STIG file names use the acronyms of the Vendor STIG Acronym List.
