CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)
Module 11: Environmental performance, biodiversity – CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)

CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) 11.1-11.4: Questions 11.1 to 11.4.1: Biodiversity: exclusions, actions on commitments, indicators and areas important for biodiversity

What does 11.1-11.4 require?

The organisation states whether any business units, mining projects or geographical areas are left out of its biodiversity disclosure and their potential for biodiversity risk; describes what it did during the reporting year to advance its biodiversity commitments (land or water protection, management and restoration, species management, education, law and policy, livelihood and economic incentives); states whether it uses biodiversity indicators to monitor performance (state and benefit, pressure, response) and which; and states whether any of its activities take place in or close to areas of importance for biodiversity (Ramsar sites; Key Biodiversity Areas; sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list; legally protected areas; biosphere reserves under UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere programme; or other areas) and details the activities and mitigation measures. CDP's ambition is awareness of all activities near such areas and mitigation so they are not harmed.
