For each year an audit is required, the business must submit a written certification of completion to the CPPA through its website by 1 April of the following year, signed by an executive directly responsible for audit compliance with enough knowledge and authority. It gives the business name and contact, confirms completion, states the months covered, and carries an attestation under penalty of perjury that the business did not try to influence the auditor.
