Ensures that the requirements of the protection of classified information are considered early in information security concepts (security by design) and supports the classified-information officers in setting the requirements of the VSA for the electronic processing of classified material up to the level VS-NUR FÜR DEN DIENSTGEBRAUCH (VS-NfD) and integrating them, together with the information security officers, into the security concept. In Edition 2023 the Baustein carries 18 requirement numbers, 18 of them live: 18 Basis requirements (B, MUSS, to be fulfilled first and without exception), 0 Standard requirements (S, SOLLTE) and 0 requirements for elevated protection needs (H). It is applied to the information domain as a whole (overarching aspects) in modelling order R3.
