Australian Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and National Code 2018 (Australia) NC-11.1-11.4: Standard 11.1 to 11.4 Course registration approvals, changes and independent audit

In applying to register a full-time course at a location the provider must seek ESOS agency approval (through the designated State authority for schools) for course duration including breaks, modes of study, overseas student numbers within the approved maximum for each location, and delivery partner arrangements, and show when asked that duration does not exceed full-time study (VET at least 20 scheduled contact hours a week unless an accrediting authority specifies otherwise), work-based training is necessary and properly supervised, the course is not wholly online or by distance, and staff, facilities and resources suit the numbers. Proposed changes must be submitted at least 30 days before they take effect, and self-accrediting providers must complete an independent external audit within 18 months before renewal of registration.
