A block grant authority must be a not-for-profit body corporate that is financially viable and fit and proper, and must deal with capital funding in accordance with the regulations (including how it is allocated to schools and review of allocation decisions), meet the compliance monitoring requirements and provide information in accordance with the regulations. It must also comply with any conditions on its approval (s 88(2)).
