Made for subsection 26N(2) of the Act, the Code binds every credit reporting body, every credit provider except a non-participating credit provider (as narrowed by the Part 1 definition, so a provider that has told individuals it may report them, or that acquires a participating provider's rights, is bound), and every affected information recipient. The bound entities must identify themselves as such and apply the Code across the obligations that follow.
