Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Large Grazing Animal Facility (Version 1.1) C12: Escape or loss of a GM animal

What does C12 require?

If a GM animal escapes, is unintentionally released or is lost from the facility, (a) every reasonable effort must be made to find and recover it and either euthanise it or return it to containment, and (b) the Regulator must be told about the incident as soon as practicable.
