Australia NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators m5a-3.4: SIL supported decision-making: worker procedures for supported decision-making

Policies and procedures guide workers to facilitate supported decision-making about supports in the participant's home and daily life: allowing a reasonable period; identifying when it may be needed; asking whether and how the participant wants support; giving support in line with their will and preferences; responding to cultural values and beliefs; and identifying when more support is needed, including from an authorised decision maker such as a nominee.
