The most effective control is to eliminate the risk of exposure, by removing sources of biological hazards or preventing them: keeping pest animals and insects out through regular extermination and prevention; preventing harmful growth of mould and yeast through routine building maintenance that stops leaks and moisture and through effective ventilation and air handling; inspecting incoming goods and rejecting any that are contaminated with visible mould or are wet or damp; prescribing oral rather than intravenous medication where appropriate so workers need not handle needles; and, where possible, keeping unwell people and those with symptoms of communicable disease out of the workplace by letting unwell or exposed workers work from home where their role allows and they are well enough, or take leave under their entitlements, sending unwell children home from childcare or school, asking customers and clients to reschedule or attend virtually, and allowing orders online or by telephone.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
