Section 4: Assess the risks – Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work

Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work 4.1: 4.1 Decide when to carry out a risk assessment

After identifying psychosocial hazards the PCBU should carry out a risk assessment, in consultation with workers and any HSRs, for the hazards identified, because assessment shows how severe the risks are and so what is reasonably practicable. If the risks and effective controls are already known, controls can be put in place without an assessment and then checked for effectiveness.
