Australia Life Insurance Code of Practice (CALI Life Code) 7.7-7.9: Final decisions on claim complaints state the claim outcome and the assessor on any reopening

What does 7.7-7.9 require?

The final decision on a complaint about a declined claim or the value of a claim tells the customer whether the claim will be reopened or reassessed, the original decision maintained, or the original decision overturned. The complaint is closed when the final decision is given. Where the outcome is a reopening or reassessment, the assigned assessor's name and contact information are confirmed.
