Division 1: Value for money and Commonwealth policies – Australia Commonwealth Procurement Rules (17 November 2025)

Australia Commonwealth Procurement Rules (17 November 2025) CPR-4.4-4.6: Be satisfied after reasonable enquiries that each procurement achieves value for money

The responsible official must be satisfied, after reasonable enquiries, that the procurement achieves a value for money outcome, weighing financial and non-financial costs and benefits of each submission: quality, fitness for purpose, the supplier's experience, performance history and ethical conduct, flexibility and innovation, environmental sustainability, and whole-of-life costs. Price is not the only factor.
