What does R1 require?

The entity discloses the processes and policies by which it identifies, assesses, prioritises, manages and monitors climate risks, including the inputs and parameters (data sources, significant uncertainties, scope of operations), how it gauges the nature, the likelihood and the magnitude of effects, whether and how it prioritises climate risks against other risks, how it manages and monitors them, and whether and how the processes changed from the previous period; the equivalent processes for climate opportunities; and how far, and in what way, all of these feed into and shape its enterprise risk management. The entity may reference the government's 2024-2026 climate risk and opportunity Approach for the public sector and say whether, and in what way, it implements the government's climate risk management Program.
