For DSP-controlled environments the authentication requirement also sets: inactive session time-out after at most 30 minutes (15 minutes preferred; a screen lock that does not need full MFA to unlock); remember-me on a device limited to 24 hours; brute force lockout after at most five unsuccessful login attempts (the ATO asks only that a lockout event occurs, not how it is released); tokens or temporary credentials isolated to one device, expiring once used and in any case within 24 hours. For categories D and E the remember-me limit of 24 hours applies as a minimum.
