Equipment is inspected when entering or re-entering service; equipment that has arrested a fall must be withdrawn and referred for inspection before any reuse, and defective equipment must not be used but destroyed or marked defective and repaired to the maker's instructions; equipment past its service life is withdrawn (clause 9.6 refers to the manufacturing Standards AS/NZS 1891.1 and AS 1891.5 after Amendment 1).
