APES 110 Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including Independence Standards) 522: Recent service with an audit client

What does 522 require?

Anyone who was a client director or officer, or an employee positioned to significantly influence how its accounting records or financial statements were prepared, during the period the audit report covers may not join the audit team. Service before that period is evaluated for self-interest, self-review and familiarity threats and addressed through independent review of the individual's work.
