Practitioners help colleagues stay healthy. Good practice means the practitioner (a) treats practitioner-patients to the same standard of care as anyone else; (b) acts, including by mandatory or voluntary notification to Ahpra, if they know or reasonably believe that a registered practitioner's impairment is placing patients at risk of harm in practice, applying the notification thresholds in the Boards' mandatory notifications guidelines; and (c) recognises the effect of fatigue on colleagues, including supervisees, and helps keep working hours safe wherever possible.
