ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997 cl42-45: Sch 1 cls 42 to 45 Outgoings the lessor pays

The lessor pays rates and taxes, services it has agreed to pay, services without a separate meter, all service usage up to the reading at the start of the tenancy and after the reading at the end (if the tenant has not used the service since), the physical installation of services such as water, electricity, gas and a telephone line, the annual water and sewerage supply charge, and, for a unit, all owners corporation charges. The tenant pays consumption charges and connects services in their own name, and cannot be required to connect or keep a telephone service.
