Clause 5: Practice statements – ACCS 1:2025 Certification Scheme for Age Assurance Systems and Components

ACCS 1:2025 Certification Scheme for Age Assurance Systems and Components 5.8: Control, version and retain the practice statement, and submit major-change updates within 14 days

What does 5.8 require?

The practice statement names who in the client organisation holds authority to approve, update and maintain it. Each change is documented with its nature, rationale, approval date and approver; every version issued during the cycle is retained for at least six years or two certification cycles, whichever is longer; the statement carries a version reference and issue date with the operative version always identifiable. Where a change reflects a major change to the item, the updated statement goes to the conformity assessment body no later than 14 days after approval; minor or editorial changes may be recorded in house and looked at during the next surveillance.
