Lessor disclosure (paragraphs 89 to 97) – AASB 16 Leases

AASB 16 Leases 93-97: Lessors explain significant movements in the net investment in finance leases, give annual maturity analyses of undiscounted lease payments for at least five years with a reconciliation to the net investment, and apply AASB 116 and related disclosures to operating lease assets by class

What does 93-97 require?

For finance leases the lessor explains, qualitatively and quantitatively, significant movements in the net investment's carrying amount and discloses a maturity analysis of undiscounted lease payments receivable for each of at least the next five years and a total thereafter, reconciled to the net investment with the unearned finance income and any discounted unguaranteed residual value identified. For operating leases it applies the AASB 116 disclosures splitting every class of property, plant and equipment between assets subject to operating leases and other assets, applies the disclosures of AASB 136, 138, 140 and 141 as relevant, and discloses the same annual maturity analysis of undiscounted lease payments.
