AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards
Presentation and disclosure of the transition (paragraphs 20 to 33) – AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards

AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards 32-33: Interim reports in the first period: reconcile equity and total comprehensive income for the comparable prior interim period and for the latest previous GAAP year end, explain the transition, and provide the information needed to understand the interim period

What does 32-33 require?

An AASB 134 interim report covering part of the first annual period must, where a comparable interim report was presented in the preceding year, reconcile previous GAAP equity as at that comparable interim date to equity under the Standards, and reconcile total comprehensive income for that comparable period, both year to date and current interim. It also includes the two equity reconciliations and the comprehensive income reconciliation required for the annual statements, or a cross-reference to a published document containing them, and explains the transition as paragraph 23 requires. Because AASB 134 assumes readers have access to the latest annual statements, the interim report adds whatever information about the current interim period is material to understanding it and was not disclosed in the previous GAAP annual statements.
